Description	:	Thelma B. Lybrook, 97, of Winter Haven, Florida, and formally of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 7:40 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital East in Lafayette. She was born on November 10, 1913 in Poplar Grove, Howard County, Indiana, the fifth of ten children born to Dora Sylvester and Mary Charlottie (Barber) Roach. She married Claude F. Lybrook, 97, of Winter Haven, Florida, and formally of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 7:40 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital East in Lafayette. She was born on November 10, 1913 in Poplar Grove, Howard County, Indiana, the fifth of ten children born to Dora Sylvester and Mary Charlottie (Barber) Roach. She married Claude F. Lybrook on November 10, 1942; he preceded her in death on March 17, 1979. Thelma attended Young America School, enjoying basketball and street dances. She began full-time employment by the age of 15, with the Kilkline and Rathel families, employed at Togsteads, Delco, LaMode Shop, Wasson's Department Store, Union Bank, and managed Lacy's Bridal Shop. At the age of 9, she was baptized into Young America Baptist Church. Later, she joined Howard Church of the Brethren where she was very active locally and with district women's activities. Other organizations she was involved with included Ervin Township Home Demonstration Club, Northwestern Music Boosters, Winter Haven Senior Citizen Exercise Classes, Christian Women's Organization, Gad About Travel Group, Winter Haven Garden Club, Winter Haven Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and Orchid Springs Water Exercise classes, as well as volunteered in the gift shop at Winter Haven Hospital. She enjoyed her family, and loved traveling, dancing, exercise, cooking, flower gardening, and sharing food and bouquets with the sick. She is survived by her four children: Gary Lybrook, wife Lou Ann, of Bloomington; Joy Welch, husband Dick, of Lafayette; Alexis Taubert, Chicago; and Claudia Dixon, husband Gary, of Birmingham, Alabama. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Tim, Polly and Dave Lybrook, Rick Woolington, Julie Frey, Chad and Christy Welch, Myriah and Matthew Dixon, twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, Saundra Lee, sister, Laura "Alice" (Roach) Dunkin, and brothers, Paul Alexander Roach, Clarence Abner Roach, Earl William Roach, Wilbur "Bill" Roach, Russell Wayne Roach, Dora "Junior" Roach, Don and Dale Roach. Funeral services will be at 3PM on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Don Roberts officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12PM until time of service on Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a monetary contribution may
