Description	:	Thelma Elizabeth (Calhoun) Getz, age 76 of Petersburg, WV died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at her home after a long time illness. She was born on January 26, 1932 in Ruddle, WV and was the daughter of the late William C. "Bill" Calhoun and Dora (Judy) Calhoun. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, David William Getz, one sister, Evelyn V. Hedrick, and two brothers, Vernon Clarence Calhoun and William Roy Calhoun. Read More	Thelma Elizabeth (Calhoun) Getz, age 76 of Petersburg, WV died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at her home after a long time illness. She was born on January 26, 1932 in Ruddle, WV and was the daughter of the late William C. "Bill" Calhoun and Dora (Judy) Calhoun. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, David William Getz, one sister, Evelyn V. Hedrick, and two brothers, Vernon Clarence Calhoun and William Roy Calhoun. Thelma and her husband owned and operated her family owned business, Calhoun's Country Store. She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren and Landes Ruritan. She also was a member of the ladies auxiliaries of the VFW, American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. SURVIVING: Her husband of 56 years, Harry D. Getz One son, Clarence J. "Sonny" Getz and wife, Shirley of Harrisonburg, VA One grandson, John Wesley "J.W." Getz of Norfolk, VA One sister-in-law: Betty Calhoun of Romney, WV Several nieces and nephews Her extended family: Butch and Wanda Stump and family, Tim and Nettie Hall and family, Mark and Rhonda Mullenax and Mike and Roxann Nelson.
