Description	:	Thelma Taylor, age 88, of Morton Mills, Iowa passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Red Oak. Thelma Lois Taylor was born April 29, 1916 east of Grant, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Estella (Curry) Hines. Estella later married Merrill Foote whom Thelma thought of as her father. Thelma Lois Taylor was born April 29, 1916 east of Grant, Iowa the daughter of Roy and Estella (Curry) Hines. Estella later married Merrill Foote whom Thelma thought of as her father. She was raised in the Grant area graduating from the Grant High School. Thelma was united in marriage to Lloyd Taylor on July 25, 1934. To this union six children were born. Thelma and Lloyd lived in the Grant and Morton Mills areas all of their lives. Thelma started working for the Good Samaritan Center in Red Oak in 1974 as a housekeeper. She was promoted to House Keeping Supervisor in 1977. Thelma became the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor in 1981 and retired in 1989 after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Grant United Methodist Church, the Grant United Methodist Women, and the Morton Mills Ladies Aid, as well as many other clubs that she enjoyed. Preceding her in death was her infant daughter: Barbara Jean; her parents; husband Lloyd Taylor; son: Ronald Taylor; brother-in-law: Ross Adams; and sister-in-law: Lucille Foote.
