The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 21 Oct 1970 Theodore Davison Killed By Train Here Tuesday Morning Theodore Calvin Davison, 41, was instantly killed when the fuel truck he was driving was struck by a Burlington Northern freight train at the crossing at the Fort Benton depot Tuesday morning about 9:20. The truck was demolished in the impact, but no fire resulted. The freight, loaded with livestock, was coming from Great Falls with no scheduled stop here. Requiem Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday morning at Immaculate Conception church here with Msgr. John Regan officiating. Military honors will be accorded at graveside and attendance of VFW members in a body is requested, Mr. Davison being commander of the post. Ted Davison was June 28, 1929, at Highwood, and grew up in that area. He was a graduate of Highwood high school in 1948 and entered the army shortly after graduation, serving in Germany. Shortly after his discharge he married Mary Georgia Nagengast on July 9, 1956, and he had since been a Fort Benton resident. He had been employed by a local elevator and at his brother's service station for some years, and for some time operated and managed Ted's Texaco Service Station. He was employed by the Farmers Elevator at the time of his death. Ted was a member of the Immaculate Conception church here, of the Knights of Columbus, and was Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 47. He was commander of Emil O. Ronning post 4047, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was active in the affairs of civic and other organizations to which he belonged. Survivors include his wife, Mary; six sons and one daughter, Patrick, 13; Natalie, 11; Matthew, 10; Michael, 8; Jeffrey, 6; Peter, 3; Andrew, 2; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Davison, of Highwood; three brothers, Robert Davison, LaMesa, Calif.; Donald Davison, Yakima, Wash.; and John Davison, Fort Benton; four sisters, Leone Knudson, Highwood; Nadine O'Connell, Belt; Irene King, Fresno, Calif.; and Marjorie Tomasetti, Riverdale, Calif.; nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
