Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. MDT Friday at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen. Ted was born at Mannhaven on Dec. 22, 1911, to Jacob and Maria (Kilber) Huber. He was baptized Jan. 8, 1912, and confirmed May 28, 1926, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Krem. Ted was raised and educated in the Mannhaven area. On Nov. 4, 1934, he married his wife of 64 years, Anna L. Isaak, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mannhaven. Together they farmed north of Hazen, moving to Hazen in 1951 while continuing to farm and operate a construction company until the early 1980s when he retired. Ted was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hazen. He served as the sexton for many years and also served in many other positions within the congregation, as well as contributing in many other ways. Ted was also active in civic and community affairs, including the Chamber of Commerce and serving on the Hazen City Commission for several years. He was an officer and director of Mannhaven Realty Co, Sunrise Homes Inc., Hazen Development Corp. and North Star Inc. Ted was a dedicated family man and will be forever remembered for being a "soft touch" for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for maple nut ice cream and Juicy Fruit gum are legendary. Ted is survived by his special friend, Gertie Isaak; two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Stan Zarambo, Lino Lakes, Minn., and Maxine and Gary Beckwith, Hazen; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Kathy Huber, Jamestown, and Rodney and Michele Huber, League City, Texas; the sons and daughters of Emma Guenthner Esch, who claimed him as their dad, Florence Baszler, Great Falls, Mont., Evelyn Wiedrich, Alhambra, Calif., Marvin Guenthner, Minot, Luther Guenthner, Silverton, Idaho, Max Guenthner, Underwood, and Dorothy Bauer, Covina, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Nancy (Tim) Kutchera, Washougal, Wash., Susan Zarambo (Mike Miller), St. Paul, Minn., Greg Zarambo, Roseville, Minn., Julie Zarambo, Lino Lakes, Jason (Jennifer) Beckwith, Bismarck, Callie (John) Meehan, Dallas, Christie (Jerry Jr.) Obenauer, Hazen, Stephanie Huber (Jason Obenauer), Eagle River, Alaska, Jennifer (Jason) Quast, Fargo, Amanda Huber, Fort Collins, Colo., and Ashley Huber, League City, Texas; eight great-grandchildren, Matthew Kutchera, Grace and Claire Meehan, Isaak, Kordon and Elle Obenauer, Juno Obenauer and Jacob Quast; and two sisters-in-law, Selma Huber, Stanton, and Amanda Huber, Greeley, Colo. His parents; his wife, Anna; three sisters, Mary Unterseher Metzger, Martha Grosz and Katie Baszler; four brothers, Bernhard, Jacob, Otto and Elthor; and two of the Emma Guenthner Esch children, Paul Guenthner and Bernice Richter, preceded him in death.
