Description	:	Theodore "Ted" Fricke, 95, died Monday, December 13, 1999 at his home in Ottumwa. Services will be Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottumwa with the Rev Carl Lueders officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. He was born on March 1, 1904, in Marshall county, the son of Edward and Sarah Thoma Fricke. At the age of 15 he left high school to help on the family farm. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. He was born on March 1, 1904, in Marshall county, the son of Edward and Sarah Thoma Fricke. At the age of 15 he left high school to help on the family farm. In 1928 the family moved to Marshalltown where he continued to contribute to the family income. He married Lavern Huber on October 28, 1942. He was employed as a building contractor. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he trained to be an extrusion die repair man in a defense plant. In 1948 they returned to Iowa where he worked on construction jobs and as a millwright in the Ottumwa area. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottumwa. Survivors include his wife, Lavern; a daughter, Helen Vincent of Cove City, Kentucky; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Gertrude Fricke of Marshalltown.
