Description	:	Mrs Edward A Fricke of Marshalltown passed away at her home at 11:30 am Sunday after a lingering illness of six years. She was born at Wolcottsburg, New York, September 23, 1874, the daughter of the late John and Anna Thoma. When she was seven years of age her parents came to State Center where her father taught in the French Grove parochial school. In 1893 she with her parents moved to Rushville, Nebraska. Read More	Mrs Edward A Fricke of Marshalltown passed away at her home at 11:30 am Sunday after a lingering illness of six years. She was born at Wolcottsburg, New York, September 23, 1874, the daughter of the late John and Anna Thoma. When she was seven years of age her parents came to State Center where her father taught in the French Grove parochial school. In 1893 she with her parents moved to Rushville, Nebraska. A year later they returned to Iowa and made their home in Des Moines. On April 22, 1901 she was married to Edward A Fricke of State Center and made her home here until March first of this year. She was the mother of nine children, Clara, Theodore, Irma, Herbert, Adelbert, Gertrude, Agnes and Florence and Edward, who died in infancy. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs Herman Bieich of Boone and Mrs Herman Schwartz of Des Moines. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday at 10 o'clock with Reverent Kreutz in charge and at 11 o'clock at the French Grove Lutheran church rural State Center with Rev H C Koepke in charge. Burial was in the French Grove Cemetery. July 26, 1928 State Center Enterprise.
