Ted was born May 15, 1907, to Herman J. and Elizabeth (Schafer) Dreismeier in Bloomfield. He married Catherine M. Guenther Nov. 9, 1938 in Crofton. She died June 18, 1988 at the age of 70. He married Helen Kuehler, April 12, 1990, in Crofton. Ted grew up in the Bloomfield area. After his marriage to Catherine, they farmed between Bloomfield and Crofton from 1938-1964. In 1964, they moved to Crofton. He has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Bloomfield since April 2002. He was a member of the Knox County Soil and Water Board in 1963 and then worked for the district for several years spraying trees. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton. Survivors include: his wife, Helen, Crofton; seven children and their spouses, Paul and Darlene Dreismeier, Omaha; Kathy Brodersen, Yankton, SD; Alice and Ron Farrell, Tomball, Texas; Arlis and Bill Green, Armstrong, Iowa; Cleone and Lee Timmerman, Norfolk; Marilyn and Gary Kleinschmit, Bow Valley; and Mark Dreismeier and his fiancée, Sheila, Norfolk; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, a sister, Katherine Mackeprang, Bloomfield; eight stepchildren and their spouses; Bonnie Jean and Richard Kool, Grand Island; Clarence and LeNeda Kuehler, Crofton; Roman Kuehler, Gladstone, Ore.; Frank and Judy Kuehler, Norfolk; Wilmer and Barb Kuehler, Crofton; Art and Nancy Kuehler, Kansas City, Kan.; Barb and David Detwelier, Grand Island; and Maryann and John Luther, Lincoln; 20 step-grandchildren, and 15 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Catherine; son-in-law, Kenny Brodersen; a great-grandson, Andrew Tangeman; eight brothers, Frank, Godfrey, Joe, Konrad, Henry, Herman, Barney and William Dreismeier, and three sisters, Theresa Schlautmann, Mary Guenther and Elizabeth Dreismeier. – Cedar County News, Feb. 2003
