Theodosia Ellen DeGeest was born in Marion County, Iowa, August 31, 1887. She was married to Harry Wilson in 1907. He died in 1912. To this union three sons were born and one died in infancy. She came to Hand County in 1920 with her two brothers and they lived in Midland and Logan townships. At the time of her death she lived in Ree Heights. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge and attended the Congregational church in Ree Heights. Surviving are two sons: James of St. Lawrence and Harry of Miller. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson of Miller; Mrs. Ollie Milledge and Mrs. Ray Wilson, both of Harvey, Iowa; three brothers, Ed of Ree Heights; Cornelius and Arie of Miller and nine grandchildren. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death. Relatives out of the area attending the funeral were Betty Wilson of California; Eileen Wilson, Sioux Falls; Frank DeGeest and Mrs. Peter Groen, Armour; Ed and John Heezen, Plankinton; Jasper DeGeest and family, Huron; Mrs. Susan DeGeest and Melvin, Atwater, Minn.
