Theophil was born March 18, 1921, north of Beulah, a son of Jacob and Magdalena (Sailer) Teske. He was raised and educated north of Beulah, and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps for about nine months. On Sept. 28, 1949, he married Ida Goldade at St. Benedict's Church, south of Beulah. They farmed northeast of Hazen for five years. They then moved to a farm six miles north of Beulah, where they farmed until 1982, when Theophil semi-retired. In 1998, they moved into Beulah. Theophil was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beulah Rural Fire Department and Beulah Eagles Club. Theophil loved his children and grandchildren very much. He enjoyed playing horseshoe and reading Louis L'Amour books. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ida; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Garry Teske, Beulah, and Greg and Jocy Teske, Joe and Julie Teske and James Teske, all of Minneapolis; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Charlene Thompson, Minot, Joyce and Marvin Bauer, Beulah, Rose and Ron Kraft, Bismarck, and Mary and Webb Garrison, Wasilla, Alaska; 12 grandchildren, Debbie and James Renner, Jessica and Brent Bauer, Keenan and Seth Thompson, Travis Teske, Reed and Darian Teske, Wyler Garrison and Zoe and Isabella Kraft; three sisters, Ruth Kienzle, Waterloo, Iowa, Ilene Boeckel, Bismarck, and Ardena Alderin, Center; and two brothers, Calvin Teske, Renton, Wash., and Reinhold Teske, Bismarck. Theophil was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Olga Wolf, Elsie Jaeger, Hulda Teske and Tillie Wiedrich-Oster; two brothers, Herb and Richard Teske; one son-in-law, Steven Thompson; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Teske; and one grandson, Shane Thompson.
