Read More	The Nuckolls County Locomotive-Gazette, Thursday, May 26, 2011; pg. 6 Theresa Vap the daughter of Leo and Francis (Hermercky) Bursovsky was born June 5, 1935 in Nuckolls County, Nebraska. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Rose Brook Care Center, in Edgar, Nebraska at the age of 75 years. She was united in marriage to Melvin Vap on December 8, 1950 at Mankato, KS. This union was blessed with the birth of four children, two daughters and two sons. Theresa was at her best when she was helping someone else. She grew up on a farm working beside her father milking cows, then on to the side of her farmer husband. Theresa dearly loved the farm and being outside. In later years Theresa moved to Edgar to live and worked 14 years at the Rose Brook Care Center. Although Theresa worked in housekeeping she was much more than that, she volunteered, was a friend to all and a 2nd mother to many. She was full of compassion, faith and always ready to help lend a hand or a shoulder to anyone that was hurting and needed one. Theresa was always able to smile even with the cancer raging inside her. Theresa had a very strong faith with God and she knew He had a plan for her. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, son Larry, 2 sisters, one brother and a reat granddaughter. Survivors include her daughters Debbie Eickmann & and(sic) husband Kurt of Sedan, Jeanne Ritchey & husband Russell of Hebron, son Roy Vap & wife Cheryl of Red Cloud, brother Jack Bursovsky & wife Judeen of Beatrice; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Services were held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese with Rev. Loras Grell officiating. Rosary services were held on Monday at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar. Condolences may be sent to the family at wmfth.com. Williams Funeral Home of Edgar, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
