She had been ill for some months and was a great 'sufferer. Her maiden name was Theresa Lalonde, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lalonde of Darling, born there 25 years ago. A few years, ago she married Mr. Currie and they resided in Ramsay. She is survived by her husband and three small children, Alice, Joseph and Charlie, also her parents, four sisters Elizabeth at home, Mary, Mrs. Horn of Darling; Florence, Mrs. McDougall, Watson's Corners; Jean, Mrs. Milton Giles of Lloyd; seven brothers, Frank and John Lalonde of Ramsay; Peter, Charlie, Joseph, William and Lewis of Darling. The funeral was held on Friday from the home of her brother, Mr. Frank Lalonde and was largely attended by relatives, friends and neighbors. A beautiful and most inspiring sermon on "The Hope of Life" was delivered by Rev. C. D. McLellan of Bethany United Church, Almonte, and interment was made in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs. Harry, Boyd and Ernest Lalonde, Eldon and Daniel Currie and Milton Giles. Special hymns "Just As I Am" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" were sung.
