Theresa Marie Roth Klein, was born April 19, 1930, at Brooklyn, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Mathias Roth and Mary Irene Rhinehart Roth, and died Monday, January 5, 1998, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell. Theresa attended a rural school, she was a graduate of the Brooklyn High School, and for two years attended Mount Saint Clare College in Clinton. She was married to Gene Klein December 25, 1951, at Deep River, Iowa. Theresa taught school several years prior to her marriage and was employed by Amana Refrigeration for 25 years. She lived all of her life in the Brooklyn area. Theresa was a member of Francis Gallagher American Legion Post #294 Auxiliary and was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leonard and Laverne Roth; one sister, Marita DeMeulenaere; and one step grandson. Survivors include her husband, Gene; two daughters, Connie Brown of Brooklyn, and Kris Loschen and her husband, Rick, of Brooklyn; two sons and their wives, Alan and Mary of Brooklyn and Kevin and Barb of Clive; two brothers, Maynard Roth of Brooklyn and Larry Roth of Belle Plaine; and nine grandchildren.
