Description	:	OAKLAND -- Theresa Poirier Blake, 81, passed away at home on Oct. 6, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was born in Waterville on June 15, 1927, the daughter of Napolean Paul and Albina (Gauthier) Poirier. She attended local schools, graduating from Waterville High School in 1945. During her school years, Theresa worked at the Harris Baking Co. After graduation, she worked at New England Telephone and Telegraph. Read More	OAKLAND -- Theresa Poirier Blake, 81, passed away at home on Oct. 6, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was born in Waterville on June 15, 1927, the daughter of Napolean Paul and Albina (Gauthier) Poirier. She attended local schools, graduating from Waterville High School in 1945. During her school years, Theresa worked at the Harris Baking Co. After graduation, she worked at New England Telephone and Telegraph. From 1960 until the time of her death she worked in the family business, Blake Hardware. In 1950 she married Robert Blake. Together they shared 43 years until his death in 1993. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert; three brothers, Francis, Lionel and Roland Poirier; and four sisters, Irene Cowan, Helen LaBranch, Alyce Hebert and Cecile Bouthot. Surviving are four children, Deborah of Oakland, Michael Paul of Indianapolis, Robert and his wife, Beatrice, of Oakland, and Steven and his wife, Pamela, of Oakland; an adopted sister, Pauline and her husband, Donald LaRochelle, of Waterville; seven grandchildren, Jason Bisson and his wife, Nicole, of New Jersey, Theresa and her husband, Tony, of Oakland, Renee Bisson of Seattle, Derek, Lauren and Bill of Oakland and Faith Blake of Indianapolis; one great-granddaughter, Sara Bisson of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Sacred Heart Church, Pleasant Street, Waterville. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. (Morning Sentinel 10/8/2008)
