| Description | : | Theresia was born in what was then Karlsdorf, Moravia (now part of the Czech Republic). It is said that Theresia spent the first day of her life in jail. Apparently Napoleon's army was quartered nearvy and combed the area for in order to conscript young able-bodied men. When the soldiers captured her father he was able to slip out of his coat and, hiding in a tree, escaped capture. The soldiers then took his wife and newborn daughter into jail for the night.
