The funeral will be held at the German Lutheran church of Castle Grove Township, and interment will be had at Oakwood cemetery in Monticello. The funeral will be held at the German Lutheran church of Castle Grove Township, and interment will be had at Oakwood cemetery in Monticello. Mr. Ahlrichs made a trip to Germany, two years ago, for the benefit of his health. After his return, he became seriously ill and took to his bed, and was confined there for a period of eighteen months with a tubercular trouble that affected either the spine or the nerves. During this long period of illness hewas tenderly cared for by his wife who devoted her time and her attention to his comfort. Mr. Ahlrichs is survived by his wife and three sons, John, Herman and William, and also by a daughter, Mrs. Henry Eden. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Seehusen and Mrs. John Rickels. Mr. Ahlrichs was born in Reepsholt, Germany, September 17, 1865. He was married May 2, 1890, to Miss Johanna Frismer, and ten days later they sailed for America. They became good citizens of this country, and made many friends who will long mourn Mr. Ahlrichs' death.
