The Rev. Dale Glawatz officiated at the services. Emma Eden of Monticello died Tuesday, July 16 at the Senior Home, following a period of declining health. Emma Catherine Ahlrichs was born November 9, 1892 in Lovell Township, Jones County, the daughter of Thomas and Johanna Friismer Ahlrichs. She received her education in the rural schools of Jones County. Emma Ahlrichs and Henry J. Eden were married April 18,1912 at SS. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Lovell Township, Jones County. Henry preceded Emma in death in 1940. In 1948 Emma moved to Monticello, where she worked at the locker plant, and later at Jim Read's Highway Market. Emma was a member of StJohn's Lutheran Church. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Tobiason of Monticello; seven grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter a son, and three brothers. Casket bearers were Robert Tobiason, Thomas Ahlrichs, Carl Egger, Ronald Eden, Tom D. Eden and Sid Schatz. Goettsch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
