He was born at Denton, Texas on January 23, 1888, the son of William Smith Argo and Agnes Brown Argo. On October 2, 1909 he was married to Marie Ekstrum and to this union was born four children. He and his family moved to Marshall County in 1914 where he engaged in farming in the Oketo community. He was born at Denton, Texas on January 23, 1888, the son of William Smith Argo and Agnes Brown Argo. On October 2, 1909 he was married to Marie Ekstrum and to this union was born four children. He and his family moved to Marshall County in 1914 where he engaged in farming in the Oketo community. They later moved to the Bigelow community and then to the Vliets Community where he farmed until his death. He became a member of the North Elm Christian Church in 1922, and transferred his Membership to the Bigelow Christian Church when he and his family moved there. Thomas was active in helping establish the Frankfort Christian Church when the Bigelow Church was forced to close because of Tuttle Creek Dam. Mr. and Mrs. Argo had the privilege of celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary last October at their farm home near Vliets. Funeral services were held Wednesday after- noon, February 10, 1960 at the Padden Chapel in Frankfort, Kansas with Reverend Harlan Palser officiating assisted by Steven Winners. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Arlan Argo, Duayne Argo, Kent Argo, Donald Argo, Richard Argo and Tommy Argo. Interment was in the Vermillion Cemetery, Vermillion, Kansas.
