He was born January 27, 1934 in Brookville, IN, one of three children of Clarence and Loretta Hamann Senefeld. He attended St. Michael’s School in Brookville and graduated from Brookville High School (Class of 1951) and Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, respectively. He was born January 27, 1934 in Brookville, IN, one of three children of Clarence and Loretta Hamann Senefeld. He attended St. Michael’s School in Brookville and graduated from Brookville High School (Class of 1951) and Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, respectively. On February 11, 1956, he was married in St. Michael’s Church to Marjorie Rosenberger of Brookville. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served as a First Lt. from 1956 to 1958, stationed at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma and Ft. Lewis in Washington; following his honorable discharge, he resided in Connersville. For twenty-nine years, he was employed at H. H. Robertson in the Accounting Dept., retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Gabriel Church where he served as a Lector and Cantor during services. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, mushrooming and being outdoors. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Marjorie Ann Senefeld, a son, Jeffrey T. Senefeld and his wife, Vicki of Mountain City, TX, three daughters, Sharon Ilkin and her husband, Tunch of Pittsburgh, PA, Kim Kelly and her husband, Jim of Tampa, FL and Angela Duncan and her husband, J.D. of Belleair, FL, seven grandchildren, Tanner Ilkin, Natalie Ilkin, Clay Ilkin, Shannon Kelly, Sean Kelly, Colman Duncan and Carly Duncan, a sister, Aurelia Merrell of Covington, KY, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth Pflum, and a grandson, Joshua Cook. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Gabriel Church, Connersville with Reverend Stanley J. Herber officiating. Burial with military rites will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Brookville. Friends may call at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM Friday where a scripture service will be held at 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Gabriel School Annual Fund. Friends may visit at millermosterrobbins.com where notes of memory and sympathy may be left as they wish.
