Mr. Lanigan was a resident of Walnut for many years, leaving here last winter to make his home with his only sister. He was born in Ohio, the son of Edward and Elizabeth Lanigan. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. R. S. McCarthy of Spaulding, Nebr., at whose home he died; two nephews, M. E. Murphy of Marne, and Father Thomas P. Murphy of Des Moines.
