Jones, 59-year-old former Danville resident died in Tri-city Hospital at Leaksville, N.C. this morning at 4:45 after a brief illness. Mr. Jones formerly was owner and operator of Eastern Distributing Company here having entered retirement since leaving Danville six years ago. He was the son of the late William Breckenridge Jones and Mrs. Bettie Garrett Jones DeShazo, who is a sister of the late North Carolina Senator William A. Garrett. Jones of Leaksville, Mrs. J. C. Hall of Lynchburg and Mrs. T. D. DeShazo of Spencer, Va. He was a member of the Leaksville Methodist Church, the Acca Temple Shrine and the Danville Lodge of Elks. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence, 302 North Patrick Street in Leaksville. Burial will be in Leaksville.
