Description	:	Thomas was the son of Michael and Mary Hussey Cox Harvey. He was the second oldest child in a family of twelve. He was raised in a long line of Quakers, but later in life he became a Methodist. On September 10, 1835 he married Anna Hoover. Together they had seven children (seven known): Jane H., Susannah, Mary E., Henry H., Martha Ann, Eliza E., and William Allen. Read More	Thomas was the son of Michael and Mary Hussey Cox Harvey. He was the second oldest child in a family of twelve. He was raised in a long line of Quakers, but later in life he became a Methodist. On September 10, 1835 he married Anna Hoover. Together they had seven children (seven known): Jane H., Susannah, Mary E., Henry H., Martha Ann, Eliza E., and William Allen. After his marriage he left Wayne County and moved to Hamilton County, IN. He located himself in the woods, and cleared out a good farm. He was a successful farmer, and accumulated a good share of property. He took an active interest in politics and filled the office of County Commissioner two terms. He was Justice of the Peace many terms, and in 1848 was elected by the Democratic party as Representative of Hamilton County to the State Legislature. In 1867, he moved back to Wayne County,where he died July 17, 1879.
