Description	:	Tom H. Evans, 59, died Friday, at Pasco of injuries he received in a head-on truck collision. Born April 18, 1917, at Blaine, he moved with his family as a child to the Okanogan Valley and stared ranching on the Colville reservation. After his father's death, he worked on the ranch with his mother until he went in the trucking business. He had been trucking for the past 25 years and was driving for Crown Zellerbach Corporation at the time of the accident. He married Ida, who preceded him in death in September of 1974. Born April 18, 1917, at Blaine, he moved with his family as a child to the Okanogan Valley and stared ranching on the Colville reservation. After his father's death, he worked on the ranch with his mother until he went in the trucking business. He had been trucking for the past 25 years and was driving for Crown Zellerbach Corporation at the time of the accident. He married Ida, who preceded him in death in September of 1974. His hobbies were raising buffalo and cattle and hunting. He was a charter member of the Okanogan County Sheriff's Posse and the Eagles Lodge. Surviving are two sons, Wayne R. Evans, Conconully and Tom Evans Jr., Okanogan; three daughters, Peggy Moomaw, Omak, Wilma Evans, Lakeland Village and Patty Evans, Spokane, his mother, Nettie Evans, Brewster, one sister, May Smith, Monse; two step-daughters, Patricia Staggs, Omak and Anita McClellan, Seattle; 11 grandchildren. One daughter also preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 10:00 Wednesday from the Barnes Chapel with Rev. Maurice Holt officiating. Burial services were in the Omak Memorial Cemetery. Barnes Funeral Home, Omak, in charge of the arrangements.
