Description	:	Thomas Jefferson Lynch, aged 80 years, 6 months and 11 days, died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home, two miles east of the Green Mountain church. Deceased had been ill since a year ago last August, his ailment being Bright's disease and heart trouble. Deceased was one of the older residents of the county, moving here thirty-three years ago from Maryland. Read More	Thomas Jefferson Lynch, aged 80 years, 6 months and 11 days, died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home, two miles east of the Green Mountain church. Deceased had been ill since a year ago last August, his ailment being Bright's disease and heart trouble. Deceased was one of the older residents of the county, moving here thirty-three years ago from Maryland. He was born in Washington county, Maryland, and being left an orphan at 7 years of age, began the battle of life very young. He was employed for a number of years as a canal man, and worked on the old Chesapeake and Ohio canal. Deceased resided in Marshalltown for five years and has many friends and acquaintances here. He leaves a wife and seven children - Joseph A. Lynch, of Green Mountain; Mrs. Georgiana Bockes, of Portland, Oregon, who was at the bedside of her father, however when the end came, C. R. Lynch, who resides one and one half miles north of the old homestead; J. W. Lynch, who lives three miles north of the parental home; Thomas J. Lynch, Jr., living thirteen miles north of his father's place, in Grundy county, and Mrs. Mary T. Buihner, who resides three and one half miles north of the old home, in Tama county. The funeral will occur from the Evangelical Chapel, two miles northeast of the Lynch home, at 12 o'clock Saturday, conducted by Rev. J. A. Sounders, of Cheney, Kansas, who will also conduct brief services at the residence at 11 o'clock Saturday.
