Description	:	OBIT: Jeff White who has been a resident of this community for a number of years, passed away Friday morning at six o'clock at the home of his brother-in-law Charles Williams. Mr. White had not enjoyed good health for several years, but his last serious illness was of about four weeks duration. The funeral services were held from the Congregational church Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. A.S. Kilbourn officiating. The Masonic lodge of which he has long been a member attended the services in a body and used their ritualistic ceremony at the church and the cemetery.... A male quartette from Ottumwa had charge of the music. OBIT 2: Thomas Jefferson White was born in Carthage, Indiana, November 2, 1848, the son of Thomas and Mary White. When four years of age he came with his parents to Pleasant township, Monroe county, Iowa. Later they moved to what became the home place in Jefferson township, Mahaska county. On August 23, 1881, he was united in marriage to Mary Williams of Pleasant township. This union was blessed with five children, one daughter and four sons. Mr. White was a member of the Yeomen, of Eddyville Lodge No. 74, F. & A.M., and of the Knights Commandery, besides being a Shriner. He passed away at the home of his brother-in-law Charles E. Williams on Friday morning, March 17th, 1922, after four years of ill health and an immediate illness of four weeks, being at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 15 days. His wife preceded him in death in April, 1918. He leaves to mourn his loss the following children: Ole of the home place, Mrs. Flossie Sterner of Kirkville and Roy of Eddyville. A son Orin T. died in infancy and another son, Arnold, met a tragic death in September, 1920. He is also survived by-eight grandchildren, besides numerous other relatives.
