Description	:	Thomas Jensen was born in Aalborg, Denmark, January 21, 1859, being the son of Hans Christian Jensen and Elsie Thompson Jensen. He spent his early life there and came to the United States at the age of 21 years. His first home in the United States was in Gage county (sic), Nebraska. The last few months he has been at the... Read More	Thomas Jensen was born in Aalborg, Denmark, January 21, 1859, being the son of Hans Christian Jensen and Elsie Thompson Jensen. He spent his early life there and came to the United States at the age of 21 years. His first home in the United States was in Gage county (sic), Nebraska. He was married to Charlotte Berg in the year 1886. His wife died in 1914 and most of the time since then he has made his home with his son John Jensen of the Nora community. The last few months he has been at the home of his daughter, Kathyrn E. King of Glasco, Kansas. After a brief illness he died at the hospital in Concordia, Kansas, on April 3, 1940, having reached the age of 81 years, 2 months and 12 days. He was affiliated with the Lutheran church for many years. He was a highly respected and esteemed neighbor, friend and loving parents and grand parent to his family. The surviving children are: C. Peter Jensen of Fountain, Colo.; Hans C. Jensen of Oak; John Jensen of Nora; Pearl Andesen (sic) of Bostwick; Kathryn E. King of Glasco, Kansas; Rose B. Brittenham of Ruskin. He leaves 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He leaves one brother, Martin Jensen of Hardy; two sisters, Maxen Jensen and Margaret Olsen of Denmark. Other relatives live in Denmark and a number of distant relatives live in Filley, Nebr. Another book of life here is closed but we trust it is not the final volume--only the beginning of another book of life which may be even more glorious than the one completed. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church (sic) at Nora, Rev. M.H. Kruse officiating. Interment was made at the Evergreen cemetery (sic) at Beatrice. A mixed quartette composed of Mr. Corwin Shepherd, Miss Elda Bucknell, Jesse Hamel and Fred Stanley furnished the music. Pallbearers were: Fred Kelly, Haer Adcock, Nels Hansen, Millard Ray, Clyde Gerbeling and Frank Woodhead. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our sincere thanks to our many good friends and neighbors for their kindness, their sympathy and help shown us during the illness, and death of our beloved father, grandfather and brother.
