Description	:	Last week we mentioned the death of Thomas Johnston of the vicinity of Mt. Etna. The following concerning the deceased will be of interest to his friends: Mr. Johnston was born in Pennsylvania, June 20, 1844. When about 16 years of age he came to Adams county, locating at Mt. Etna. Mr. Johnston was married June 18, 1876 to Miss Isabel Thomas, of Mt. Etna. For a time he and his wife made their home in Cass county. In 1882, they purchased a farm about a mile north of Mt. The following concerning the deceased will be of interest to his friends: Mr. Johnston was born in Pennsylvania, June 20, 1844. When about 16 years of age he came to Adams county, locating at Mt. Etna. Mr. Johnston was married June 18, 1876 to Miss Isabel Thomas, of Mt. Etna. For a time he and his wife made their home in Cass county. In 1882, they purchased a farm about a mile north of Mt. Etna, which has since been the family home. To Mr. and Mrs. Johnston nine children were born, six daughters and three sons, of whom one son died in infancy. The surviving children are Mrs. Lizzie Thompson, whose home is near Carl; Mrs. Dailey McCune, near Mt. Etna; Mrs. Mable Roberts, Mt. Etna; Mrs. Rozella Fees, Corning; Mrs. Dorpha Kingery, near Mt. Etna; and Miss Eulalia, Clifford, and Clevie, who reside at home. Beside his wife and children Mr. Johnston left many friends to mourn his demise. He passed away from this life at about 4:40 o'clock Monday evening, April 1st. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Dunkard church of Mt. Etna, conducted by Rev. John Follis, and the body was laid to rest in the Dunkard cemetery.
