Read More	The St. Helena Star, December 15, 1949 Prof. Mark Miner Dies Suddenly Word has been received in St. Helena of the death of Prof. Mark Miner, who died of a heart attack last Thursday in Seattle, Wash. Prof Miner was driving his automobile when he suddenly slumped at the wheel and died. His car struck another, but as he was driving very slowly, having apparently felt the attack coming on, very little damage was done. Prof. Miner will be remembered by the older residents of St. Helena as he lived here many years ago, and married Miss Mary Warren, member of the pioneer I.B. Warren family. They were married by the late Rev. James Mitchell. They had a mutual interest in music, both being accomplished musicians. Prof. Miner taught band and violin, and a year or so ago retired from teaching music in the Seattle schools, the family having made their home in that city for many years. Mrs. Miner died about two years ago. Prof. Miner is survived by one son and one daughter, Duane Miner, of Seattle, and Mrs. Louis F. Clark, of San Francisco. Mrs. Clark, who is the daughter-in-law of Mrs. L. G. Clark of St. Helena, went north immediately on receiving word of her father's death. He also leaves four grandchildren.
