Description	:	Thomas M. Gale. Committed by Wm E. Greene Judge of San Joaquin Co. December 18th 1868. Age 39 years; native of Connecticut; married and has one child 7 years old; was last from Conn.; has been in California since 1850; occupation, Steamboating. The evidence of insanity is, wildness, incoherent talk and imagines that he owns all the houses in the City; is homicidal from premeditation. This is the first attack so far as known and it appeared two or three days ago; disease increasing with no rational intervals; is suicidal; is filthy and destructive; has no insane relations so far... Condition of patient when received about the same as represented in above abstract of commitment. Admitted December 18th 1868. Has no property. Died February 15th 1869 of maniacal exhaustion.
