| Description | : | Thomas and his wife Mary Smith O'Brien came from Ireland. Their first five children died from diphtheria in one outbreak. They went on to have seven stalwart sons in Illinois. The family moved to Nebraska and later homesteaded in Dundy County in southwestern NE. Thomas and Mary are buried in a country cemetery close to where they homesteaded. Family members tend to the gravesites.
