Description	:	Thomas P. Woodward, pioneer resident of Villisca, died of a heart attack at 1:15 a.m. Friday at his home on Fourth Avenue after illness of only a few hours. He was born in Villisca, November 29, 1876 and was 67 years old at his death. He was one of eight children, six boys and two girls and at the age of 15 years went with his family to Lincoln, Nebraska to reside. Woodward, pioneer resident of Villisca, died of a heart attack at 1:15 a.m. Friday at his home on Fourth Avenue after illness of only a few hours. He was born in Villisca, November 29, 1876 and was 67 years old at his death. He was one of eight children, six boys and two girls and at the age of 15 years went with his family to Lincoln, Nebraska to reside. He returned from there to Villisca in 1897 and entered into the Woodward real estate and insurance business with his father had established in 1873 and continued in that business until his death. He was married June 20, 1906 to Cora Maxwell in Beatrice, Nebraska and to them two children were born, Max of Villisca and Thomas of the U.S. Army at Camp Blanding, Florida. Besides his wife and sons, he leaves a granddaughter, Marcia Woodward, three brothers, Ed. E. Woodward and Dr. Mac Woodward, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Dr. Earl B. Woodward, Monrovia, California and a sister, Mrs. Geo. Burgert, Lincoln. His mother died in 1914 and his father died in 1926. The funeral was held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. E. M. Buehler. The pall bearers were Chas. L. Meyerhoff, Olin Willett, W. E. Brodrick, W. S. Victor, Estle Werner, and Willis Oviatt and singing was by Cecil Weaver with Mrs. J. L. Wheeler at the piano Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
