At the age of seven years he came with his parents to the Cushing area where he received his education and grew to manhood. On January 3, 1917 he was united in marriage to Eva Christensen at St. Paul. The couple farmed first at Cushing, next in the Fairdale area and later at Dannebrog. At the age of seven years he came with his parents to the Cushing area where he received his education and grew to manhood. On January 3, 1917 he was united in marriage to Eva Christensen at St. Paul. The couple farmed first at Cushing, next in the Fairdale area and later at Dannebrog. In 1947 they moved into Wolbach where they have since resided. Tom was interested in community affairs and had been overseer of Hillside Cemetery for many years. Mr. Hansen passed from this life on Saturday, October 26, 1974 at the Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Grand Island at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his wife, Eva, three sons, Ronald T. Hansen Sr. of Brayton, Iowa, Rev. Carl T. Hansen and Lavern Hansen, both of Phoenix, Arizona; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Berst and Mrs. Clifford Jensen, both of St. Paul; and two brothers, August and Albert of St. Paul. Preceding in death were his parents, one brother, Chris, two sisters, Mrs. John Myers and Mrs. Lena Hayes and one granddaughter.
