JONES, 50, of 3189 S. 200 West, Rochester, died of natural causes at 11:38 a.m. Oct. 17 on County Road 100 South, 1/4 mile east of County Road 200 West, near Rochester. Born in Rochester to Gerald R. and Mary Alice Long Jones, he moved to Rochester from Michigan in 1975. Tom was a 1975 graduate of Shafer High School of South Gate, Mich. He had been employed at McMahan-O'Connor Construction Co. of Rochester, Yantis Implement, now Country Sales & Service, Logansport, Christman's Construction Co. of Rochester and was employed by New Holland of Rochester as a mechanic. He loved to farm and enjoyed using a computer to set the programs for the farm equipment. He was also a sports fan and most often could be found supporting Adam in his sporting events with Laney at his side. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church, Hollins, Va. Survivors include one daughter, Laney Jones, Rochester; one son, Adam Jones, Rochester; parents, Gerald and Mary Alice Jones, Rochester; one brother, John Jones and wife Sharon, Trenton, Mich.; one half sister, Laura Keller and husband Vance, Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; one halfbrother, Howard Jones, Rochester; two aunts, Dorothy Annabelle Tucker, Mentone, and Sara Harmon and husband James, Minneapolis, Minn.; and one uncle, Casey Jones, Rochester. His funeral service was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with the Rev. Woody Slade officiating. Burial was at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends visited with the family from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, and one hour prior the service.
