Read More	From The Greeley Citizen, September 21, 1972, Page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Thomas Emery Dies in Omaha After Stroke - Former Greeley Businessman is Buried Here Fri - Funeral services were held Friday at St. Bernard church in Omaha for Thomas W. Emery, 81, who died Wednesday. He had suffered a stroke shortly before his death. Burial was in the Sacred Heart cemetery here Friday afternoon. He was born in Wisconsin to Mr. and Mrs. William A. Emery. He and Ethel M. Taylor were married here July 27, 1915. He was a graduate of the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and with his brother Austin, ran a drug store here for many years. They sold the business to Roy Divan and in 1934 he was elected county clerk, a position he held from January 1935 to December 1939. He then joined the internal revenue department and moved to Omaha where he had lived since. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. George (Margaret Mary) Hatterman of Omaha, Mrs. Charles (Kathleen) Julander of Newton, Ia., Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Weber of Palatine, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph (Rosemary) Seitz of Omaha; a son, Thomas of Bowie, Md; nineteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. W. W. (Marie) Kirk and Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Moylan of Omaha and Mrs. Joseph (Martha) Murrane of Scranton, Ia; and a brother, Walter Emery of California.
