Description	:	Thanks to contributor #48796369 Thyra Rasmussen, 95, of Aurora died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kronborg. The Rev. Charles Pollard will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Kronborg. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora. Mrs. Rasmussen was born on Sept. 17, 1903, near Marquette to Niels and Mathilde (Kaae) Andersen. She grew up near Marquette until moving to Arapahoe as a small child. Her family lived there for 13 years before returning to Hamilton County to farm near Marquette. She married Walter Rasmussen on March 6, 1935, at Kronborg. They farmed near Marquette until retirement. Mrs. Rasmussen moved to Aurora after her husband's death in 1978. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Survivors include her daughter, Lou Ann (Mrs. Ralph) Jensen of Burlington, Wis.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dagmer Andersen of Aurora. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Reuben, Kenneth and Ingvard; and one sister, Olga Wulff. The Grand Island Independent, April 16, 1999
