Description	:	Services for Tillie Minarik, age 97, of Creighton will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Reverend Bev Lanzendorf will officiate, with burial in Pischelville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Brockhaus Funeral Home. Tillie died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Columbus, Nebraska. Tillie was born on November 16, 1917, to Frank and Christena (Wirth) Hrbek, at the family farm west of Pischelville, Nebraska. She attended country school District 46 and received her diploma in 1932, by Dora Rock, County Superintendent, in Center, Knox County, Nebraska. During the summer months, she worked in the hay fields with her dad and two brothers. On June 16, 1937, Tillie married Fred E. Minarik, and to them were born three daughters, Lorene, Gladys, and Ellen Jean. They made their home in western township, farming and raising livestock and poultry. They had a large orchard and always more than one garden. Tillie did a lot of canning and baking, and she loved outside work. She attended children's school activities and would be the chauffeur for the high school cheerleaders traveling to away games. Tillie is preceded in death by her husband; daughter; four brothers; four sisters; and a sister who died in infancy. Tillie is survived by two daughters; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Tillie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We will see you in our dreams.
