Description	:	Timothy Harold McKevitt was born to Timothy and Louise Florence Bass McKevitt May 30,1911, at Norton, Kan. He died after a lengthy illness Jan. 3 in the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 4 days. He lived at Norton until 1919, then moved with his family to Wymore, Neb., where they lived for four years, and then to Superior where he attended school and graduated from Superior High school with the class of 1929. He was baptized and con- firmed in the St. Luke's Episcopalian Church, Wymore, ... Read More	Timothy Harold McKevitt was born to Timothy and Louise Florence Bass McKevitt May 30,1911, at Norton, Kan. He died after a lengthy illness Jan. 3 in the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 4 days. He lived at Norton until 1919, then moved with his family to Wymore, Neb., where they lived for four years, and then to Superior where he attended school and graduated from Superior High school with the class of 1929. He was baptized and con- firmed in the St. Luke's Episcopalian Church, Wymore, and was later a member of Centennial Lutheran Church, Superior. He was married to Marie Andersen in 1940. This union was blessed with one daughter, Ruth Ann. An employee of the Ideal Cement Company since 1929, he retired as maintenance supervisor, after 47 years of service. He also owned and operated the Superior Machine Shop for many years. A veteran of World War II, he served nearly three years in the Southwest Pacific in the Navy Seabees Construction Battalion. He was a member of the American Legion Post 103, VFW and a past member of the Superior Volunteer Fire Department. At the time of his death he was a member of Centennial Lutheran Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Ralph. Survivors are his wife, Marie; daughter, Mrs. Jack Moore (Ruth Ann), Hastings; two grandchildren, Eric David and Ann Catherine Moore; and many other relatives. The funeral was Friday, Jan. 5, at 10:30 a.m., at the Cen- tennial Lutheran Church. Pastor David Loeschen of- ficiated. Military rites were given by the American Legion and VFW Posts of Superior. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Megrue-Price Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Superior Express January 11, 1990
