Description	:	Timothy John Waters, Age 67, of Melbourne, Iowa passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, surrounded by his family. As were his wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Cumberland, Iowa. Timothy John Waters was born on November 26th, 1945 at Massena Hotel, the son of Terrence John and Kathleen Marie Waters. Tim was employed by the Department of Transportation after high school in 1964. In 1966, he joined the Navy with his friend Donnie Fletcher. Timothy John Waters was born on November 26th, 1945 at Massena Hotel, the son of Terrence John and Kathleen Marie Waters. Tim was employed by the Department of Transportation after high school in 1964. In 1966, he joined the Navy with his friend Donnie Fletcher. Tim served aboard the USS Trigger and later the Nuclear Submarine USS Von Steuben. In 1970, Tim returned to the DOT and worked as a preliminary surveyor for 35 years until his retirement. Tim's hobbies included Fishing, Golf, a LOVE for Baseball (#1 Cardinals Fan!), Horse shoe pitching, 8 Ball Pool League, and reading one or more books each week. Tim especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Timothy John Waters is survived by his 3 children: son, Timothy Jay Waters (wife Barbara) of Parker, Colorado; daughters, Crystal Marie Leonard, Andrea Lashnits (husband Dirk) of Denver, Colorado; nine grandchildren: Timothy Stewart, Eilis Marie, and Seamus Martin Waters of Parker, Colorado; Dakota Michelle Leonard and Alexis Nicole Leonard of Clemons, Iowa; Kaicee and Trinity of Ackley, Iowa; Gracen Eleanor Lashnits and Beckett Edward Lashnits of Denver, Colorado. Four sisters: Beth Mills (husband Lary) of Massena, Iowa; Jean Young (husband Kenny) of Atlantic, Iowa and Joan Carr (husband Larry) of Corning, Iowa; Kim Wood (husband Ted) of Massena, Iowa; brother, William Waters of Massena, Iowa; two Aunts; many Nieces and Nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lieutenant Thomas Michael Waters, and a brother-in-law, Charles Holste.
