Description	:	TIM ERICKSON Funeral services for Tim Erickson, 72, pioneer resident of Montgomery County, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sutphen Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Joe Tom Tate. Mr. Erickson died of heart trouble Saturday night at the Cooper hospital rooms where he had been cared for. Masonic rites were observed and the pall bearers were members of the Masonic Lodge at Clarinda. The singing was by Mrs. Clarence Penwell, accompanied by Mrs. Neal Gray. Mr. Erickson was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson and was born May 1, 1876 in Galesburg, Illinois. He came to Montgomery county with his parents when he was 2 years old and they settled in Frankfort Township. He lived most of his life in the county. He was married to Lizzie Meads on April 4, 1904 and to them was born a daughter, Mrs. Letha Larson of south of Villisca. His wife preceded him in death November 10, 1941. He is survived by his daughter, two grandchildren, Dixie and Tommie Larson of south of Villisca, a brother, George of northeast of Villisca and a half brother, John Holder of Clarinda, and a half sister, Mrs. John Larson, Griswold, Iowa. Mr. Erickson served in the army during the “Spanish American War”. He was an ardent worker in the Masonic lodge. He was district lecturer of the order and traveled much while serving in that capacity. Villisca Review.
