Read More	Titus Wagner 1944 Bridgewater Bulletin In the passing of Titus Wagner, Union Square has lost one of its oldest and most highly respected citizens, after an illness of very brief duration. The deceased was born at Upper Northfield 76 years ago, the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Wagner. About 47 years ago, he married Jeanetta MacKay of Upper Northfield, after which they came to Union Square and built the comfortable home which they have occupied since that time. Mr. Wagner was a very active man and always ready and willing to do his part in any worthy undertaking. For approximately the past five years he patiently and tenderly cared for his invalid wife, by whom he is survived. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved ones. He was a devoted member of the United Church at Barss Corners and was a regular attendant as long as it was possible for him to be. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Lloyd, Livermore Falls, Maine; and Loris, at home; three daughters, Lila (Mrs. Dennis Ramey), Barss Corners; Lena (Mrs. Lauren Rhodenizer), Livermore Falls; Bessie (Mrs. Russel Veinot), Union Square; also twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The surviving brothers and sisters are: Wallace, Pine Grove; Benjamin, Worcester; Ozem, Livermore Falls; and Mrs. Bessie Oickle, Lower Northfield. The funeral service, which was held at his late home, was conducted by his pastor, Rev. W.H. Palmer, who spoke comforting words from Psalm 56:4, "In God I have put my trust; I will not fear." Hymns sung were "What A Friend We Have in Jesus," "Blest Be the Tie that Binds," and "Abide With Me." Interment was made at Union Square Cemetery. The pall-bearers were Angus, Arthur, Locke, and Alvah MacKay. The beautiful floral offerings and cards bore mute testimony to the esteem in which the late Mr. Wagner was held.
