Description	:	Tommie Jean "Tom" Chambers, 77, died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at his home in Benton City, Wash. He was born on Feb 6, 1935, to Jim William and Gladys Golden (Bryant) Chambers on their farm near Slick, Oklahoma. Tom moved to Kennewick, Wash., and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1953. Read More	Tommie Jean "Tom" Chambers, 77, died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at his home in Benton City, Wash. He was born on Feb 6, 1935, to Jim William and Gladys Golden (Bryant) Chambers on their farm near Slick, Oklahoma. Tom moved to Kennewick, Wash., and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1953. He worked on the tug boats in 1954. In 1956, he married Judy Hedrick and they had a son, David. Tom worked in the pea fields in Oregon and Washington at this time. In 1959 and 1960, he worked with his dad at his parts house. He moved to Libby in 1960 and married LuRee Bernardy. In 1969, he married Patty Olbekson and adopted their son, Lloyd. Tom worked at the J. Neils Lumber Co. from 1960 to 1969, and then they moved to Tulsa, Okla., to care for his mother. While there, he worked for Lawrence Electronics. They moved his mother to Libby in 1971, and he worked for Champion International and then Stimson Lumber Co. until his retirement in 1994. He married Violet Anderson in 1990, and he spent the last 17 years of his life with Ester Hamel. Tom enjoyed dancing, singing karaoke, women, motorcycles (a means to get women, he'd say with a wink), people, family, picnics and summer. He was an avid Seahawks and Sonics fan. He was preceded in death by both parents, his older brother Jim Ray and his wife Patty. Survivors include his two sons David Chambers of West Richland, Wash., and Lloyd Chambers of Las Vegas, Nev.; two granddaughters Chelsea Pardini and Crystal Chambers; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home, 422 W. 2nd St. in Libby. The Western News Posted: Thursday, April 26, 2012 12:21 pm
