The son of Stanley and Lavina Edgell, Tommy was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Forsyth. He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1957. Edgell, 64, of Billings. Tommy passed away Tuesday morning, May 7, 2002, at St. Vincent Healthcare. The son of Stanley and Lavina Edgell, Tommy was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Forsyth. He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1957. In 1959, he entered the Army on the Buddy System with Richard West and Bob Benner. He was honorably discharged in 1962 as an E5 Medic. While waiting for assignment after attending the Montana Highway Patrol Academy, Tommy went to work for Northwest Surgical Supply. After 17 years, Northwest Surgical became Kriesers and Tommy continued with them for another 15 years, retiring in 1998, following a previous accident. In his retirement, he helped his wife Peggy to operate Professional Look Salon and Supply until 2001. While working in the Army Induction Center in Butte, Tommy met Marge (Peg) Gaughan. They were married on May 25, 1963, at St. John's Catholic Church in Butte. They made their home on the family ranch at Forsyth until moving to Billings in December 1964, where they have resided since. Tommy was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons. His grandsons were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with his family. Survivors include his wife Marge (Peg) Edgell; his daughter Kelly Jo Edgell; two sons and their families, Keith Raymond, Jennifer Lindsey and their children Zach, Justin and Kyle, and Kurt Arlen, Karen Knowles and their children, Dyllan, Brandon, Carsten and Payton. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Edgell; and a brother, Alan. Tommy is also survived by his mother Lavina Edgell; and special aunt Hazel Tait of Forsyth; two nephews, Stacy and Shawn Edgell; and extended family, including brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack Gaughan (Sharon), Sandy (Steve), Cindy (Mark), Sheri (David), and Mark (Mary) and all their children, Nonie (Ted) Bisch, John, Toni and Micki Bisch, Rosemary Yavarow, and family Christy (Ben), Mike Jr., (Carrie) and Leah, Wendy (Chuck), and Brian, Matt and Colleen, the late Bill Gaughan and family Brett, Brennan, and Holly Soto (Sabino), and family and cousins of the Finch, Tait and Eichorn families. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Wicks Lane. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Rockies, Butte, MT, St. Bernard's Parish, St. Vincent Hospital or the charity of one's choice. Michelotti-Sawyers has charge of arrangements.
