Read More	Obituary supplied to me by a researcher: APRIL 3, 1949--Tracy Plavec Klufa was born September 12, 1874 at Pittsburgh, PA and passed away at Burke, SD on April 3, 1949 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 21 days. Services were conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church at Burke and Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery south of the city. She had been a resident of South Dakota since 1877 when she came in the vicinity of Tabor with her parents Joseph and Teresa (Merkwan) Plavec. She was united in marriage to Charles Klufa at Tabor, SD on July 30, 1894 and they established their first home at Tyndall, SD where Mr. Klufa was associated with an implement business. In 1904 the family came in the government town sites of Burke and have been continuous residents here since that time. Mrs. Klufa is survived by her husband, Charles Klufa, and three children, James Klufa, Mrs. Marie Derby and Elsie Klufa, besides eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter Clara who passed away in 1920 and by her parents and one brother. Those attending the funeral services from out of town on Wednesday of last week included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plavec, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Varilek, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Varilek, Mr. and Mrs. Vaclav Plavec; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Teply, Mr. and Mrs. John Flamming and Charles Flamming all of Tyndall; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Merkwan, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kaiser and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kocer and son, Joe, all of Tabor; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Flamming of Yankton; Albert Klufa of Wagner; Howard Derby of Minneapolis; and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Derby of Sioux Falls.
