Description	:	Traverse Eugene Wheeler was born in Brooklyn, Iowa July 2, 1902 and passed away at his home northeast of Brooklyn August 15, 1927 at the age of 25 years 1 month and 13 days. He has lived his entire life in this community and has made many sincere friends. Read More	Traverse Eugene Wheeler was born in Brooklyn, Iowa July 2, 1902 and passed away at his home northeast of Brooklyn August 15, 1927 at the age of 25 years 1 month and 13 days. He has lived his entire life in this community and has made many sincere friends. For the past seven years Traverse has been a patient and courageous sufferer never complaining and those who were constantly with him can realize only partially the intense pain he endured. He was tenderly cared for by his loving mother who gave her every thought to his comfort. In spite of all that loving hands could do to keep him here Traverse was called to the Great Beyond where he will know no more pain or suffering. Many Specialists had been consulted but the case was so unusual that none fully understood it. Traverse had many times expressed the desire that he might pass away knowing that he would not recover. His father preceeded him in death March 10, 1918. Those who mourn his death are his mother, Mrs Millie Wheeler one sister Mrs John C Bunn of Deep River and six brothers, Dewey, Herbert, Lester, Glenn, Earl and Claud. All were at the bedside when Traverse passed away with the exception of Herbert and Lester. Herbert is serving in the U S Navy and Lester in the U S Marines both being stationed at New London, Conn. Fureral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev E W F Holler. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery by the side of his father.
