Description	:	July 22, 1959 - Carroll Daily Times - Funeral services were largely attended at the St. Lawrence Church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning for Miss Tresa Ludwig, 70, who died Friday morning at St. Anthony Hospital, where she had been a patient seven weeks. Requiem mass was offered by the Very Rev. Msgr. Edward V. Vollmer who also gave the sermon. The Rev. Patrick Nooney officiated at graveside rites at the family lot in Mt Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Schmeiser, Ray Wessling, Karl Hagerty, Robert S Bruner, Ed Murphy, and Floyd Heinrichs. As a mark of respect to Miss Ludwig, the county engineer's office was closed during the rites. She had been a clerk in the office for 23 years at the time of her retirement last September. Carroll County supervisors attended the services in a group. Out-of-town relatives present were Mrs Herb Bauer, Dorothy Pudenz and Cecelia Pudenz, Odebolt; Mr and Mrs Ray Pudenz and family, Pocahontas; and John Hazelhoff, Highland, Wis. Among friends from away were Mrs. Pete Weber and Mabel Hunter of Dunlap. There were many relatives and friends from Breda, Mt. Carmel, Auburn, and Lidderdale. Miss Ludwig, lifelong resident of Carroll, is survived by three sisters. Misses Mae, Margaret, and Genevieve Ludwig, with whom she lived in the family home at 826 North Main Street. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Elizabeth Ludwig; and two sisters: Mrs R.L. (Clara) Doherty and Sr Mary Alexine (Helen).
