Read More	Obituary reprinted with permission of Zabka Funeral Home in Seward, NE.: Tressie Blondena Foster was born on December 7, 1919, in Bethany, Missouri to George Frederick and Goldie May (Hobbs) Mull and passed away in Wilber, Nebraska on September 30, 2014, at the age of 94 years, 9 months and 23 days. She graduated from high school at the age of 16 and received her teaching certificate. She taught for five years at a country school near Gresham. On March 30, 1940, she married Charles Edward Foster at Washington, Kansas. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Stanley and Sandra. The couple farmed east of Utica for 12 years then later moved to a farm four miles north of Friend, Nebraska. They raised dairy cattle and hogs. Tressie also worked at a dime store during this time. At the age of 70, she began working at the Friend Hospital and Nursing Home in the house keeping department. She always enjoyed working in her big garden and cooking for the men who helped them on the farm. In their spare time they loved going to the Pla Mor and other dances in the area. Tressie was a long time member of the Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church. Tressie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward on June 11, 2010, and son Stanley Foster. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ritchie and husband Steve of Crete, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, Schawn and Eric Kellogg, Shani and Bob Jones, Deanna Henke, Jody and Troy Brauer, Tina and John Rockenbach, Cory Foster, Casey and Marcia Foster, Katey and Brian Chamblin; 15 great grandchildren; sister June Karr and husband Dwaine of Omaha, Nebraska and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Betty Foster of Ulysses, Nebraska. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Tressie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foster family for later designations. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska with burial at the Beaver Crossing Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Zabka Funeral Home in Seward, Nebraska.
