Description	:	Bernice Chase Gamet was born in Winnetoon, NE, to Otis Earl and Nellie Hunt Chase on June 24, 1909. She died September 15, 2002, in Tucson, AZ, at age 93. A memorial service was held at the Community of Christ Church, Tucson, on October 13, followed by a graveside service and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, on October 19, 2002. During her early childhood, she lived near Baker, MT, moving to Pisgah, IA, at age nine following the death of her mother. Bernice was a graduate of Graceland College and taught school for three years... Read More	Bernice Chase Gamet was born in Winnetoon, NE, to Otis Earl and Nellie Hunt Chase on June 24, 1909. She died September 15, 2002, in Tucson, AZ, at age 93. A memorial service was held at the Community of Christ Church, Tucson, on October 13, followed by a graveside service and burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, on October 19, 2002. During her early childhood, she lived near Baker, MT, moving to Pisgah, IA, at age nine following the death of her mother. Bernice was a graduate of Graceland College and taught school for three years in Pisgah. She married Elmo Garnet, of Pisgah, IA, in 1934, and they moved to Lamoni where he established his medical practice. She served as a Scout leader, a member of the Library Board, and held various leadership positions in community and church organizations. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. The Gamets moved to Orem Valley, AZ, in 1968, following Dr. Gamet's retirement from medical practice. They later moved into Tucson. Bernice is survived by Elmo, her husband of 68 years, of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Onalee, and her husband, Ken Green, of McCormick, SC; and a son, James, his wife June Gamet, of Estes Park, CO. She also is survived by six grandchildren, Gregory Reeves, Andrew Reeves, Douglas Reeves, Cindy Brown, Jeff Gamet, and Jon Gamet, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul. Memorials may be made to Outreach International. P.O.
