Description	:	Treva I. Lapham, daughter of William and Cora Hunsaker Reed, was born in Allen County, February 20, 1921. She departed from this life on September 16, 2013 at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 16 days at the home of her eldest daughter in Lima, Ohio. Treva was the 12th of 13 siblings and also the last sibling to survive. She was baptized in 1936 into the Old German Baptist Church and lived faithfully until death. She departed from this life on September 16, 2013 at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 16 days at the home of her eldest daughter in Lima, Ohio. Treva was the 12th of 13 siblings and also the last sibling to survive. She was baptized in 1936 into the Old German Baptist Church and lived faithfully until death. On November 14, 1937, she united in marriage with Leland L. Lapham, who preceded her in death. They were blessed with six children, Anita (Wayne) Murphy, of Lima; Janice Lapham, Duffield, VA.; Shirley Sue Lapham, Columbia City, IN.; Treva Louise (Dennis) Bowers, of Claypool, IN; Melvin A. Lapham [d], and Marolyn Reese [d]; 16 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 Grandson, 4 brothers, Carl Reed, Herman Reed, Ralph Reed, and Owen Reed; 8 sisters, Ella Binkley, Edna Bolen, Edyth Sharp, Martha Lentz, Minnie Reed, Margaret Flora, Ruth Lentz and Marjorie Decker. She worked at Pangles Market on Latham Ave. until they closed. She worked at various jobs in her lifetime and ended up being a LPN in her own small nursing home. She loved to collect antiques and crochet, enjoyed writing short stories and poetry. She had two poetry books published and received a few achievement awards. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Friday at Ash Grove Old German Baptist Church. Home Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Ash Grove Cemetery.
