Kimble, Sr. age 70 of Morning Sun, died Wednesday, May 8, 1996, at the University Hospitals in Iowa City. The son of Charles W. Sr. and Carrie (Ruth) Kimble, he was born March 14, 1926, at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. On May 11, 1946, he married Marjorie Walker of Corpus Christi, Texas. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He retired from Fox Appliances in Burlington as a serviceman. He was an originator and charter member of the Garden Club in Morning Sun. His special hobby was cactus plants. He was a member of the American Legion of Morning Sun and the First Presbyterian Church of Morning Sun. Survivors include: his wife of Morning Sun; one daughter, Becky Murphy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one son Trevor Kimble Jr. of Morning Sun; five grandchildren, Gerald Kimble, Sherrie Dotson, Kathy Kimble, Karen Kimble and Brian Murphy; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Kimble Jr. of Hellertown, Pennsylvania, and Bob Kimble of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gerald, and one sister, Audrey (Sis) Kimble. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11, 1996, at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun, with Reverend Jack Edmisson officiating. Interment followed in the Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun, with graveside Military Rites. Friends called after noon on Friday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun, where the family met with friends from 7-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a general memorial fund has been established. Music was provided by Pamela Butler, organist and Mayne Courter, vocalist. Casket bearers were: Wayne Caparoon, Randy Smith, Larry Smith, Bill Edwards, Scott Bisbey, Bob Hamann.
