Description	:	Twila (Norman) Robinson, passed away June 24, 2009 at her home in Kearney. She was born August 20, 1918 in Furnas County, Nebraska, the youngest of five children born to Thomas Ollie and Elsie Elizabeth (Hollinger) Norman. Twila received her education in Oxford, Nebraska and graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1936. She then attended The University of Nebraska at Keanrey, where she received her teaching credentials. Twila taught fourth grade in Beaver City, Nebraska for two years. She was born August 20, 1918 in Furnas County, Nebraska, the youngest of five children born to Thomas Ollie and Elsie Elizabeth (Hollinger) Norman. Twila received her education in Oxford, Nebraska and graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1936. She then attended The University of Nebraska at Keanrey, where she received her teaching credentials. Twila taught fourth grade in Beaver City, Nebraska for two years. On May 29, 1940 she was united in marriage to Albert "Dale" Robinson. In 1940 the couple moved to California where Twila worked in accounts payable at Sears for 15 years. In 1967 she and Dale returned to Nebraska and purchased the Oxford Café. On June 10, 1976 she was preceded in death by Dale. Twila continued to live and work in Oxford for 27 years. She then moved to Kearney where she worked at CASH-WA Distributing as a receptionist until she retired in 1996. In August 2008 she moved to the assisted living at the Homestead House in Kearney. Twila was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kearney. She was a happy caring person. She loved to feed and watch her birds and squirrels. She enjoyed her yard and flowers. She loved to play cards and watch sports. She also loved to spend time with friends and family. Besides her parents and husband, Dale, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vivan Pettygrove and her husband, Lloyd; two brothers: Harold Norman and his wife, Melverna, and Roland Norman and his wife, Clarice; one brother-in-law, Dr. Asa Balliet; one niece, Janet Williams and her husband, John; and one nephew, Richard Pettygrove. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister, Freda Balliet of Central City, Nebraska; nephews, Norman Balliet and his wife, Linda of Central City, Tom Norman of Glenrose, Texas, Robin Lester and his wife, Helen of New York, New York, Terry Lester of Florida; nieces Kay Hogoe of San Clemente, California, Joan Billings and her husband, Preston of Richland, Washington; and other relatives and friends.
